And I was exhausted.
For most of my life, I didn’t really know what a day off was. I worked through weekends, studied at night, trained, built companies. I was the woman who could always carry more.
And I couldn’t understand why I felt so unsatisfied. There was nothing to point to — just a quiet, constant pressure humming underneath everything I built.
Then in 2021, two weeks after a knee operation, my body handed me the bill.
My resting heart rate climbed to 80 and stayed there.
The panic attacks started — and lasted six months.
My nervous system was in full alert mode, and for the first time in my life, I couldn’t push through.
And here’s the part nobody warns you about: when I finally started working with my nervous system, I didn’t bounce back. I collapsed. After decades of overriding my body, it dropped into deep exhaustion — I could barely stay awake. That’s how much tiredness I had been pushing down just to keep performing.
What followed was years of real work. Therapy. Body-based trauma work with a specialist who releases trauma from the body — not just talks about it. Embodiment and emotional alchemy. A week-long somatic retreat on the other side of the world, healing the wounds I didn’t know I was carrying. An embodied feminine leadership training, where I finally learned cyclical living — and understood that I was never designed to be the same every day. My inconsistency wasn’t a flaw to fix. It was part of being a woman.
Piece by piece, my body learned what safety actually feels like.
Today I run two companies. I meet clients, hold responsibility, carry real pressure — and my system stays calm. I sleep well. There’s no urgency, no hassle, no racing thoughts I can’t stop.
There is peace. I have arrived at peace.
Not because I found a better routine or did more mindset work — but because I stopped trying to solve a body problem with the mind alone.
